This fine establishment is unpretentiously situated next to 410 Loop. But as soon as I walked in I knew that I was store for a great reward. I order a two meat plate (pork ribs and brisket) from a very friendly gentleman at the front counter. The ribs were outstanding! Great crust of crushed pepper, not too much, just enough for the finish I like. The brisket was smoked to perfection. Juicy, moist & a top shelf crust. Just what I needed to recover from the 'brisket' I had in Georgia last week... Keep up the great job! Looking forward to coming back! Joe

Finally showed up on the Apple app. Good standard BBQ but no need for a road trip. Brisket was average and needed some sauce to help it along. The sausage was above average and the sides standard. Smelled great walking in and the staff were plenty friendly. I'd go back but I'd also keep looking for good 'cue when I'm in San Antonio.

Sides were bland, meat seemed of low quality ..... Grainy sausage, tasteless ribs, was forced to use sauce ..... Brisket relatively moist but lacked in seasoning.... My wife and I both had sour stomachs the rest of the night..... Will not go back

This place is amazing! By far, the best barbecue in San Antonio! And one of the few places I’ve found in SA where they smoke spareribs instead of taking the easy route and just doing baby back ribs (*cough* -Rudy’s- *cough*). Speaking of the ribs... INCREDIBLE! Great crust, good smokey flavor, juicy, and tender. Brisket is great. Good smoke ring, not dried out, and really good flavor. You can tell a ton of time went into the brisket on a low-temp’d smoker (that you see as you walk in). They pull the meat off the smoker, cut it, and hand it to you on paper with bread. Can’t get any better than that. Sides are great too, and I’m not usually one to care about sides at a bbq joint. But you have to get the all-you-can-eat beans. This is a hidden gem that locals seem to know about, but it’s incredible.

Great BBQ. They start with really good meat and season/smoke it to perfection. Porkloin is very lean as is briquette. Sides are good though I prefer mustard potato salad and more tangy slaw. Easily adjusted. 5 stars on meat, 4 on sides. Looks like a BBQ joint as well.
