Finally made it to Evie Mae's before they sold out and believe me.....it is terrific. The brisket was outstanding....moist, tender, delicious. I've always bragged on Franklin's turkey as being the best I've had. Not anymore. They are now second on my list for favorite turkey. This was loaded with flavor with a nice crust on top. Delicious! Next trip, if I can keep my hands off the turkey, maybe I'll try sausage and ribs.

I eat here at least once a week and have yet to be disappointed. I consider myself to be pretty familiar with good Texas BBQ, and this place is on par with many of the "famous" Bbq joints in central Tx. Brisket is perfect...moist with the perfect blend of salt, pepper and begat ever else they rub it with. Fat is rendered down perfectly. The ribs are awesome as well, tender with the right amount of smoke and spice. Turkey and sausage are some of my favorite items in the menu as well. It's hard to create a bad meal here, believe me. Today, it's just a sandwich, but it's all I need.

After a stint with a landscaping company in Tucson, they decided to come back to Texas with their young daughter Evie Mae to pursue a barbecue dream. They didn’t make it easy on themselves. First, they’re cooking with all wood…
