First time here. Ordered lean brisket and it was still nice and moist. Had a good flavor, but could use a little more smoke. The mild sauce is pretty good, but prefer the spicy. Not too hot and helped the brisket flavor. Sausage pretty good, but a little too fatty for me. I prefer lean. Also could use a little more flavor. Cole slaw and loaded potato salad both good. I'll be back.

Solid brisket. Mealy ribs. Commercial sausage. If you're craving good brisket go here. Other than that it's average at best

What was once Jack & Diane's is now The Shack. Brisket was a little more roast beef than brisket. It was tender but not quite what I was looking for. Not a fan of the sausage. Ribs? Really good.

If I had visited The Shack Bar-B-Q six months ago, I would have easily called it Lubbock’s best barbecue. Nowadays the once bare barbecue market in town is suddenly crowded with the addition of The Shack and nearby Evie Mae’s Barbecue, a three-month-old trailer that is one of the best new barbecue joints I’ve found in some time. At The Shack, partners Kyle Farris and Kelly Henning have some catching up to do to match their new local competition, but…
