We stopped by Valentina's this weekend and really enjoyed it. We had been here for about a year ago and we found that the popularity has really increased. However, the 30 - 40 minute wait is well worth it. The Cervaza Beef and Pancho Villa tacos are the stars - very tasty. We were not as impressed with the carnitas - good but not super tasty. As sides, the roasted corn and charro beans are standouts. Overall, Valentina's is great.

Valentina's is an awesome taco place that has achieved a great crossover into the BBQ world. The Brisket and Cerveza Beef tacos are spectacular. Sides are great too.

The fajita and brisket taco were outstanding. Beef rib was very good. Great smoke flavor on the food

I shared the chopped brisket sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. The meat was tender and smoky. The sandwiches were filled with plenty of meat. The sauce is tomato based with pepper.

My first trip to Valentina’s was on a whim. I stopped at the trailer behind the Star Bar on Sixth Street in Austin on my way out of town. A friend was writing a story on taco variations, and I thought I might be able to add a novelty to his story – Texas barbecue in a taco. I didn’t know what to expect from this mash-up of Tex-Mex and barbecue, but it wasn’t much….
